AMG REVIEW: A fine easy listening record from the late '50s, All the Things You Are spotlights the music of the great Jerome Kern. The standout is the title song, which is sung by an uncredited female singer who puts Julie London to shame. Other highlights are the beautiful ballads "Every Little Park" and "Mood Indigo." Both of these are propelled by some excellent drumming and brush work by, again, an uncredited session musician, and Applewaite's excellent arrangement. The whole album is extremely well-performed, and one of the great make-out records of all time, second only to Harry Nilsson's A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night. — Matthew Greenwald
